only for u zaini, i am telling details of the shadi lol. both the mangani and shadi days were decorated by the designer zarin khan. she was like a wedding planner. on mehndi all of us wore lehngas. me in pink (matching tikka and all so everyone called me umrao jaan) and ujala in fuscia and td in orange with a paranda and all. and the reat of the cousins in assorted oranges and reds and all. u know it was like colourfull butterflies going from one place to another. i had my eyes on chais lehnga. man was that beautiful. maichoos dress was yellow as per the mehndi criterion. she looked like a masoom baby. we all did the mehndi ki rasam and my heels were killing me all the time i even got a blister. the next day maichoo wore deep maroon dress from aroos-e-khaas she looked gorgeous. so did i if i might say so lol and everyone else for that matter. at rukhsati time it was the tears time and i must say we did cry even though i had promised myself that i wouldnt. the joota chupai rasam was great and after distributing the money between cousins and all we went to hot spot with the left money to partyyyy. and also after the rukhsati we all jumped into the pool and had loads of fun. and to top things off i got food poisoning at night...well that was bound to happen as chai and i had a late night ehmm feast with the chawal and bujya left. the next day was walima and it started to rain so ati bhai and people had to relocate their venue at the last moment. again maich looked lovely in steel gray dress and makeup from elenoras. it wasnt as much fun as the mehndi and shadi but as walimas go it was nice. and all of us were so tired after so much walking in high heals(forgive me i can never differentiate between heals and heels) at the reception and all so at the 4th day we rested. the photographer was a pain ....well it was his duty but his standard line throughout the functions was.....excoose me miss smileeeeeeeee. lol it was so much fun . hope you were here also.
