around lahore in 2 and half hours

it was supposed to be as routine trip to the bank near the college to get td's admission form but i knew it was doomed to failure when i was told that i also had to get her equivalence certificate made from the board office. me being the king of blind people who loses directions outside the house was given fool proof directions by my mother. following the directions to a T keeping td as witness, because i knew that even if i followed the directions exactly i would be scolded later on. so as i said making td the witness to every turn we ended up on a one way road which never finished, we toured all of lahore starting from the government college to the gpo to thelahore museum, we even reached the planitarium and this weird building with minature paintings which i had seen somewhere along the journey of my life. so td and i being the case of the blind leading the blind kept turning and turning to places which seemed a little familiar. half way along the way td quietly said, when the coca cola and pepsi advert boards turn in shandy cola and amrit cola and the spellings of public become publik is the time when you should start panicking and realise that we are totally lost. then we somehow reached samanabad, i know its at the edge of lahore and i also know that i do not know where it is, i am as familiar with it as i am timbuktoo, and the sign saying china 0km was not reassuring. so we retraced our steps which was hard because it being a long one way, so right at next to a petrol station the cars cng finishes and we being thankful to allah get the car fuelled up and ask the guy, bhai kc ya lahore college ka pata hai? he being all cocky says its back there , luckily a man passing by says jee jail road is not back there its down there and he saved our lives...........and as you would when we reached home i was told, you are the king of directions, well i take credit where it is due. i have never seen lahore in more detail than today. lets just say its in early anticipation of 14th august.
